Hi everyone, I'm Bryce.  I work in Washington County, OR, but I have also lived in: La Crosse, WI; Tallahassee, FL; East Lansing, MI (Go Green!); and Downriver Detroit, MI (actually there's a city in it called Woodhaven, but no one knows where that is).

As unbelievable as it may be, I have 2 Master's degrees from Florida State: an M.S. in Literacy Education (I know! Not an M. Ed! I survived stats classes. Me.), and an MLIS. I developed a whole lotta this content, as well as other professional development based on various Florida curriculum and assessment. In 2007, I wrote the literature review that became the foundation for this peer-reviewed article with my name on it.

I was a first-round panelist for the inaugural Cybils Award for Book Apps in 2011, and was a second-round panelist in 2012. I was a member of the Wisconsin Library Association 2012 Conference Local Arrangements committee, and managed the Twitter handle @WLA12Local. We planned the first ever WLA Tweet Crawl, which was attended by over 70 people. I consider it a highlight of my career.

I was named the 2012 Wisconsin Library Association Rising Star and a member of the ALA Emerging Leaders class of 2013. I wrote an article about my experience in Emerging Leaders for the LIRT newsletter.

I wrote discussion questions for books groups based on Star Wars comics with Abdo Publishing.

I was the WLA Youth Services Section representative on the Read On Wisconsin! Literacy Advisory Committee 2013-2014. I served as the 2014-2016 virtual member of the AASL/ALSC/YALSA Interdivisional Committee on School/Public Library Cooperation.

I was one of the inaugural community editors for the STAR_Net Libraries Community. STAR_Net is a production of the National Center for Interactive Learning at the Space Science Institute. Funding provided by the National Science Foundation.

For nearly a year (2014-2015), I literally worked  for beer 3-5 hours every week as Pearl Street Brewery's Social Media Coordinator. I sometimes got to attend brewfests for free in exchange for some tweets, observations, and the occasional pour shift. It was pretty sweet.

For some reason I can't gather, I accepted an appointment on the inaugural Center for the Future of Libraries Advisory Group 2016-2018. I'm ultimately glad I did; it was a great experience.

I served as the co-Chair-elect/Co-Chair/co-past chair of the Oregon Library Association Children's Services Division 2019-2022.

I keep adding to this list because I'm one of those people who always forgets what they've done.
