White piece of paper taped to a binder. Text reads, "If you Give a Mouse a Cookie... and other awesome ideas by the kids at Family Storytime and the Story Action Pod Summer 2011 |
I made sure to include an introduction, because without it I really think the amount of thinking it took the kids to make these things would be lost. It included an explanation of what the directive was, and the different types of answers therein (literal, funny, etc).
Here is an example of one of the pages; each page in the book has two kids' contributions (this makes the book about 40 pages). The top one is "if you give a dinosaur your phone number." Obviously what would happen is the dinosaur would nag you at all hours of the day, asking to make him supper and for help with math. Basically, you'd regret giving a dinosaur your phone number and silently seethe, wishing he'd leave you alone. The bottom picture is self explanatory, it's what happens when you give a dragon a marshmallow (he puts it on a stick and blows fire on it).
